Shawn Smith

Shawn Smith

School Director

Shawn Smith is a voice actor who brings as much passion to storytelling as he does to music. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Shawn moved to San Francisco in 2005 after earning a degree in Audio Production from Ohio University. He began his voiceover career in 2008 with a radio commercial that sparked his love for the craft. That same year, he trained at Voice One for the first time and signed with Tonry Talent, setting the stage for a dynamic career.

After balancing voiceover work with managing community programs for over a decade, Shawn reignited his passion in 2020 when he landed the role of Bone Shaker for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks. He returned to classes at Voice One, recorded a new commercial demo with Sally, and signed with Stars the Agency. Recent credits include voicing Supreme Commander Zeu in Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land (both the series and the video game) and continuing to voice Bone Shaker and Motosaurus for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks.

Shawn’s portfolio includes work with brands like Mattel, Samsung, Hulu / Disney+, Bandai Namco, Pedigree, Amazon Prime, iShares, Coinbase, The Food Network and more. When he’s not behind the mic, he’s enjoying family life with his wife and two sons or playing music as a singer and guitarist.

Erika Ludwig

While working in the public relations industry, she discovered her love for voice over. Erika began taking classes at Voice One in 2019 and while her focus is currently on e-learning and character work, she enjoys lending her voice to all stylings of the craft.  She is the American English voice for Smartick Mathematics for Children, and additional voice over credits include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Dorktales Storytime Podcast, Ain't Slayed Nobody Podcast, and Global Kids Preschool. Erika is represented by JE Talent in San Francisco. Jesse Chung

Jesse Chung

Registrar and Administrative Manager

Jesse began his voiceover journey right here at Voice One in the Summer Fast Track of 2022. While relatively new to the voiceover arena, Jesse is no stranger to the creative world, having previously studied theatre and acting from various companies and institutions such as his alma mater, UC Davis, and the American Conservatory Theater right here in San Francisco. After previously taking a long break from his creative shenanigans, Jesse is excited to join Voice One and restart his voice acting pursuits. When he has downtime, you can find him engaging in almost any hobby you can think of - drawing, gaming, writing, reading, and of course, talking to cats outside his window.

Lola

Lola

Chief Lap Sitter

Lola has been a supporter of voice over for the past 11 years. When she's not running in happy circles or eating her favorite treat mini carrots, you can find her asleep in the booth at Sally's feet, snoring just loud enough to have to record several takes.
